[ Storm Response: Multi-Domain Autonomous Robotics in Marina Bay, Singapore ]
THE COMPETITION
Organized by RoboNation and the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Maritime RobotX is held at Marina Bay, Singapore (November 8–14, 2026). It challenges top global universities to demonstrate fully autonomous multi-domain operations in real maritime environments.

THE MISSION SCENARIO
The 2026 theme simulates an emergency Storm Response after a severe coastal disaster. Participating systems must execute search-and-recovery, inspect damaged subsea infrastructure, identify dynamic navigation hazards, and coordinate aerial reconnaissance without human intervention.
SOUTH AMERICAN LEADERSHIP
Operating from PUCP in Lima and supported by Tumi Robotics and the IEEE OES PUCP Chapter, our team represents Peru and South America, advancing field-ready maritime robotics and autonomous systems engineering.
System of Systems (SoS) Integration: Our competition entry combines three autonomous vehicles—the USV Libertad (surface hub), the UUV Hatun Yaku (subsea inspection), and the UAV Urpi (aerial drone)—linked through a unified ROS 2 network, SeaTrac USBL acoustic telemetry, and optical AprilTag alignment.
